![]() ![]() I think Mike P will out write him, out rap him, have more creativity and variation in his writing, and win this battle. He’s not particularly a bar heavy rapper, he doesn’t switch up flows and cadences, to be honest in terms of technical ability and rapping I think Suge is one of the weaker members on the URL roster. I also personally don’t think a small room battle really lends itself to anything in Suges favor. Does the same action warrant the same outcome and energy in a room 1/10th that size? I personally don't think it does. Doing that in front of a room of 1000 people and seeing them all energized because you just punked your opponent and made them look soft. However you want to chalk it up, as a bully, the physicality of him and his demeanor, just his overall size, the pocket taps. That’s Suge. Suge’s number 1 characteristic in battle rap is absolutely his presence. Without rehashing the same week long argument we’ve been having in Discord over this battle, let’s just try to look at the logistics. Remember when I said “this is where I start to stir up some controversy” in referencing Brizz beating Ored? Well this is where I full on bake this controversy cake. Mike P’s recent battles: (Big T, Twork, Trez, Daylyt) Suges recent battles: (Ill Will, Bad Newz, Shotti P, Ave,) In hopes of a good battle I’ll call this 2-1 for chess based off the severity of him needing the win moreso than Trez. Trez I’ve always enjoyed too, so it sounds weird saying this battle doesn’t really do anything for me, but it honestly doesn’t. Chess used to be one of my favorites, coming out of UFF I actually had him rated over both brizz and top. The only difference is Chess cant get through three rounds, and Trez is being fed wolves since making it to URL. These are both 2 guys that at one point I liked very much, and over the last year or so have done everything in their power to hurt their stock. Also Vito and I called this battle to happen months ago for this same premise. Im more hopeful that someone edited Chess’ rounds than anything. Chess is coming off losses to Jc and Roc in which he choked in both battles, as well as several other debatables. Trez is coming off a debatable with Prep, a loss to nitty, and overall just being fed to wolves on URL. This battle is being deemed by many as a battle to determine who can keep getting looks on URL. Could be the upset of the night.Ĭhess recent battles: (Jc, Tay Roc, Ave, Saga)Ĭhef Trez recent battles: (jo kool, Prep, Nitty, Ness Lee) Looking back at Tworks resume paints a slightly different picture I think than the machine has painted for him, however, given the eb and flow of URL, I wouldn't be surprised to see Twork take this battle 2-1 if he doesn’t choke. He choked against Mike P in 2 rounds, (in your own slogan too Twork? Cmonnnn mannn), and had an underwhelming battle against Cortez. The issues hovering over Twork are obviously his consistency. This tells me that Twork is not only ready for the challenge, but has high enough respect for JC that he is certainly not taking this lightly. Twork on the other hand, has openly come out on Champion stating that JC is not only his favorite battler, but in his opinion the best doing it right now. I for one supported the Lux talk prior to these 2 battles, (if for no reason other than wanting to see lux take someone newer, and really believing that JC’s pen is one of the best to do it period), however, at this rate, JC needs to reassess his moves moving forward in my opinion. When you’re on every card, even if you’re bringing 100% to the table every time, people will start to become complacent. ![]() Personally, I think both of those battles were winnable for JC given proper preparation, and more importantly, proper time to decompress and let the fans miss you. ![]() Whatever it is, the “WHERES LUX?!?” comments are already dying down after seeing JC take a quick pair of L’s back to back to Illmac and T top. Is it another case of oversaturation? Probably. Then just as quickly and easily as the crowd seemed to hoist JC up onto his pedestal, they’ve seemed to shove him off. I remember sitting in the crowd with a handful of guys counting 7/7, 8/8, 9/9 on his bar:punch ratio against Trez. It seemed as if every line he spit warranted more reaction than some battlers were getting for entire rounds. From a return on BL5 early this year, the rumblings of JC became chants from the tops of mountains. Battle Rap is fickle, and JC is the lead role in that movie. This battle has the potential for possibly the highest cieling, but also the lowest floor. Jc’s recent battles: (T-top, Illmac, Chess, Bigg K, Trez) Twork’s recent battles: (Cortez, Mike P, Qleen, Gluezy) ![]()
